2023 EVENT SCHEDULE IS HERE🏺🍸💫
get your diaries out/open up that iCal and start saving these DATES
For those of you that follow me on Instagram I know I’ve been banging out about this for WEEKS but god I am absolutely BUZZING for this year !!! There are so many exciting events and collaborations coming up ~ I cannot WAIT to work with such talented & creative people and see this community thrive <3
So here is the RUNDOWN month by MONTH so you can start saving these dates !! Locations include London and LA (somebody pinch me, seriously).
Valentines Day Classical Collage Workshop
date: 2 - 5pm, Saturday the 11th of February
location: Fulham, London
capacity: 6
price: £59 (your ticket includes all materials, food + drink)
led by Goose Glitters, this afternoon promises to be the perfect antidote to any Valentine’s Day related ~ feelings ~ (whether you’re in a relationship or solo, this time of year is always a LOT). Collage-making is just the most soothing, meditative thing in the world (I’ve loved it since I was a kid so I cannot wait to combine collaging with my love of ancient history and classical art) and Laura has selected a bunch of extra special museum art-themed materials just for us! As always, there will be piles of delicious food and drinks for you to enjoy as you channel your creativity, (I saw a butter candle on TikTok that I’m going to try and make for the cheeseboard - watch this space), and you’ll leave with your very own, utterly unique piece of art ~ a little love letter just for you :’) Come solo, with a date, or with a mate (so many people come to my events on their own and make so many new pals on the day so I would highly recommend coming if you’re thinking about it). If you’re keen for a ticket (or 3) message me on Instagram <3
Mythology March Book Club
Next UP I’m thrilled to announce that I’m working with Spare Ribs Club - an intersectional feminist book & supper club (also their name is a HELLA tongue in cheek reference to the part of the bible where Eve is made from Adam’s rib - isn’t it just the best possible name for a feminist book club?!). We’ll be discussing a feminist retelling of Greek mythology (which exact one is yet to be voted on by book club members), over a dreamy, generous potluck. Follow Spare Ribs Club on Instagram to join the (FREE!) book club and for additional event updates.
date: the evening (exact start time tbc), Wednesday the 15th of March
location: Bermondsey, London
capacity: 20(ish)
price: free
Poetry Symposium
I’m really feeling poetry-based events at the moment and I am REALLY feeling my darling friend Kyla, a LA resident who I first met at my first ever event in London (yes, it was a poetry event, and yes I will knock you down with a feather). Kyla is the co-founder of Pure Nowhere, an evolving creative platform and publishing house (they published Dakota Warren’s On Sun Swallowing, a shattering, invigorating book of poems that I cannot recommend enough). Kyla and I are working together to bring you a larger-scale open mic poetry event with bespoke floral arrangements, lush food & drinks, maybe even a harpist ??
date: evening (exact start time tbc), Friday the 24th of March
location: Hope Street, Los Angeles
capacity: 80-100
price: tbc
The Fude Experience
We are BACK baby!!! I am once more working with the woman that changed my LIFE. That may sound dramatic, but seriously, the three dinners I hosted with the one and only Charlie Ann Max are still the first thing anyone mentions whenever I meet them (and hosting art history discussions whilst fully naked has built up my confidence as a public speaker to a, frankly, ridiculous level). Charlie and I will be bringing you another serving of the Fude Experience, with an extra special historical twist.
date: evening (exact start time tbc), Sunday the 26th of March
location: LA
capacity: 20-30
price: tbc
Dildo Decorating Workshop
Yes, you read that correctly. I am teaming up with Adele Brydges, the woman behind The Art of (Self) Pleasure on Instagram, to put together an intimate workshop, where you will learn about the history of self-pleasure (hello 👋) and create your own, utterly unique dildo (over to you Adele 🤍). A staggeringly wide array of stickers and decals are available for your decorating so no artistic ability is required. There will be treats, refreshments and an incredibly safe, supportive space.
date: afternoon (exact start time tbc), Saturday the 1st of April
location: White Post Lane, London
capacity: 6
price: tbc
now let’s jump to June
smut + saucers
Adele Brydges and I are back AT IT, except this time there will be SCONES. Adele ALSO hosts events where you can decorate your very own cup and saucer with the SPICIEST of adornments. We’re envisioning a dreamy sort of high tea, with flowing prosecco, baked goods and fiddly little sandwiches.
date: afternoon (exact start time tbc), Sunday the 4th of June
location: Fulham, London
capacity: 6
price: tbc
Open Mic Poetry
Last but not LEAST, I’m throwing another very mellow backyard poetry event where everyone can come together and read a little something if they so desire. Maybe there will be a theme, maybe there will be a miniature petting zoo, I honestly don’t know yet but summer gets BUSY so diarise anyway ??
date: 2 - 5pm, Saturday the 17th of June
location: Fulham, London
capacity: 20
price: free
THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS. This is what’s on the docket (so far, I’ve got a few other things rattling around in my noggin, once the rattling subsides I promise you will be the first to know). Now if ANY of this interests you please PLEASE message me on Instagram (or reply to this email, tweet at me, honestly whatever) ~ I keep a big old list in my notes app of everyone that expresses interest to make sure no one misses out on their spot. Also, even if you yourself aren’t in London or LA, feel free to fling this email to anyone you can think of that might be keen <3
A sappy sentence or two, to round this whole thing out, a very heartfelt thank you goes out to every single person I have ever collaborated with and to every one of you that has ever attended an event of mine. Being able to put together so many different experiences, facilitating learning and community building, and meeting so many brilliant people brings me more joy than I will ever be able to express and truly would not be possible without each and every one of you.
